Child Safety Standards
Last updated: June 2026
Chance Matchmaking, Inc. ("Chance," "we," "our," or "us") has zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE) and child sexual abuse material (CSAM) of any kind. This page describes the standards, safeguards, and reporting practices we maintain to keep minors off the platform and to detect and respond to abuse.
1. Age Restriction
Chance is restricted to users 18 years of age or older. We do not permit minors to create or maintain accounts. To enforce this:
- Every account must provide a date of birth at signup, and the app calculates age from that date and blocks account creation for anyone under 18.
- Every account must be verified with a valid college/university email address before the user can access the core matching and messaging features of the app.
- Accounts found to misrepresent age or eligibility are suspended or removed.
2. Prohibited Content and Conduct
Chance strictly prohibits, and will remove and report, any content or conduct involving:
- Child sexual abuse material (CSAM) in any form
- Sexualization of minors, real or fictional
- Grooming, solicitation, or any attempt to engage with a minor for a sexual purpose
- Any attempt to use the App to facilitate child trafficking or exploitation
These standards apply to all profile content, photos, and messages sent through the App.
3. In-App Reporting
Chance provides in-app tools for users to report concerning content, messages, or accounts directly from a conversation or profile. Reports are reviewed by our team, and accounts found in violation of these standards are removed immediately upon confirmation.
Anyone โ user or non-user โ can also report a concern directly to our team at team@chancematchmaking.com.
4. Response and Enforcement
When we receive a report or otherwise become aware of a suspected violation of these standards, we:
- Review the reported content and account promptly
- Remove violating content and suspend or permanently ban the associated account
- Preserve relevant records as required to support law enforcement investigations
5. Reporting to Authorities
As a U.S.-based company, Chance complies with applicable federal law, including reporting obligations under 18 U.S.C. ยง 2258A. Where we become aware of apparent child sexual abuse material on the App, we report it to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) CyberTipline and cooperate with law enforcement as required by law.
